DAS Storage

Direct Attached Storage (DAS) is storage that is directly attached to an Apella server using a dedicated data connection such as SCSI or Fiber Channel. DAS provides additional local storage capacity and fast disk access because of the dedicated data connection. This type of storage is typically used with standalone Apella server installations. Apella Media Servers are certified with DAS providers such as Rorke-Data, Ciprico, Data Direct Networks, and other leading vendors.
